Why I Coach...
Sally Chaplin
This isn't the picture-perfect faith story you might expect. It begins with love, a Christian camp in Ohio, and a family blessed with four girls. We set out to build a life on faith, but cracks appeared in our marriage, ones I desperately hoped prayer would mend.
Then came another challenge - my husband's diabetes, a slow, painful erosion of his health. But the most devastating storm was hidden: years of deception, a crippling addiction, and a betrayal that shattered my world. The weight became too much. In 2016, my husband took his own life and left our family with this extraordinary pain-filled struggle.
This experience isn't a badge of honor for a faith coach. It's a raw wound, a testament to feeling utterly lost at times. Yet, in the darkness, flickered a light. God's unwavering presence, the love of family, help of a professional coach, and the strength of scripture was my lifeline.
Together, through coaching, we'll explore your journey discover your calling and along the way you will see threads forgiveness, acceptance, resilience and the universal truth: we all have a battle to fight and overcome. You'll discover how God walks beside you, a constant in the storm, whispering hope and guiding you towards peace and joy, even on the darkest days. How do I know this? I've experienced it personally!
When you feel stuck, He shines a light, illuminating the path ahead. When you're overwhelmed, His peace calms the raging seas. When you face an unknown future, He guides your steps toward a life overflowing with purpose. This doesn't just happen, though. This is exactly why you have a Coach.
I wasn't perfect, and far from a model of faith many times. But life rarely follows the script. When it crumbles, God remains, offering a hand to rise, but the choice to walk is yours.
My hope? Through my experiences, I can guide someone to find hope, discover their God-given calling, and live a joy-filled life. Perhaps then, their pain transforms into a beacon, leading them back to their faith and living out their calling.
